Technical Info
WindyPods are manufactured from marine grade 3mm thick aluminium and come with fully factory formed and welded corners to save onsite work.
Our Window Cassette Pods can be used with different finishes, including: aluminium rainscreen, ACM and other cladding products, all available from our sister company Husk Architectural.
Everything is manufactured on site in our 65,000 sq ft production facility, located centrally in Shropshire. With some of the best machinery in the industry, we’re able to fabricate aluminium window pods and deliver direct to site with short lead times.
A full range of matching rainwater goods, coping, capping, fascia, soffit and door surrounds are available.

Welcome to WindyPods by Guttercrest. We specialise in the manufacture of Aluminium Window Pods (sometimes known as ‘Window Cassettes’) to the construction industry.
WindyPods are bespoke, high quality window surround solutions that create a striking architectural feature on any building. Ideal for new builds or renovations; Pods can be made to any measurement and work with cladding products to insulate and improve ‘U’ values.
WindyPod surrounds are available with a protective paint coating (polyester powder coating) in a huge range of RAL and BS colours, heritage textured finish, metallic and anodised effect coatings. We can colour match with any sample. Window pods can also be used as a contrasting colour for unique architectural detailing.
